Many of our clients purchase both the design/layout of the facility from us as well as the equipment, furnishings and supplies. Typically, architects are not in the kitchen design business, but are experts in their field as architects and in the permitting process. We are not architects, but we can make life a lot easier for your architect with a good set of plans that you can "take to the bank". We have knowledge of equipment and utility connections and can provide that information to your architect and engineers in a organized format usually as electronic files that help move the project forward at a fast rate. We also have knowledge in the food service operations and are involved long after the architect, engineers, and building contractor have completed their work. As other professionals rotate in and out of the project at different phases we can provide the glue and continuity that holds the project together from inception to opening and operating the food service facility. Experienced food service operators know that a bad food service dealer can cause more pain that a trip to a bad dentist.

Starting from your architecturally correct dimensioned drawings, we jointly determine space requirements and provide you with a preliminary plan for your review and approval. After any adjustments we do final floor plan drawings and then proceed with developing equipment specifications manuals and plumbing and electrical rough-in drawings. Your architect can proceed with detailing of decor and construction drawings while we develop specifications manuals and provide plumbing and electrical utility locations and schedules.

At various stages, we can provide drawings and schedules to your architect in paper or electronic form for his distribution to engineers. In our design/purchase agreement, we ask you to pay only for "out of pocket" cost of a draftsman with no up-front charge for consulting time. This significantly decreases your up-front costs for consulting services and allows us to "go the extra" mile to invest the time to provide you with a top notch service knowing that you have agreed to purchase equipment and services from us at a predetermined markup. This is a good deal you our customers and is a good deal for us as we know when we invest the time to do an outstanding project that we will have the entire project to provide to compensate us for underwriting the up-front investment in consulting time. This also saves you time in shopping equipment, in meetings and endless discussions of equipment alternatives and eliminates the problem of the limited commitment of suppliers who simply offer the "low bid and very little else".

You get a streamlined team process consisting of you, our team, your architect and later your contractor who will be able to bid with a full set of plans with good detail and confidence that his price is accurate.
